Why can I reserve the Golden Pass only between Zweisimmen and Montreux?

The Golden Pass is a regional train. The stretch between Montreux and Zweisimmen is considered the most beautiful and therefore busiest stretch. Therefore, only this part of the route can be reserved. The rest of the route up to Interlaken isn't reservable and can be traveled without reservation.
