How does the Swiss Travel Pass work?

The Swiss Travel Pass is very easy to use; you can take any train you want and just show the pass to the conductor.  It's not needed to validate the pass at the ticket office at the station. 

If you have a Swiss Travel Pass e-ticket you can simply show your Swiss Travel Pass to the conductor on your phone.
