Does my train have a dining car?
Many long-distance trains, except for most overnight trains, have either a bistro area or a full dining car. This varies depending on country and train type. You can consult your travel documents or rail planner app/website. Some trains also offer at-seat service in first class.

It is not possible to reserve a seat in dining cars in Europe: simply take an empty seat and the staff will attend to you, or take your meals/drinks with you to your seat. Please note that it might not always be possible to pay by card in the dining car, so it's advisable to carry enough cash with you. International trains usually accept currencies of all countries the train travels through.
