Netherlands/Belgium/Luxemburg - Eurail Seat Reservations

All international high-speed trains to and from the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg have mandatory seat reservations. Only a limited number of seats are available for Eurail pass holders on EUrostar and TGV services, so we recommend buying reservations in advance. For some routes this is possible up to 6 months in advance, for others shorter in advance.

Reservations for high-speed trains can be made in the Eurail app after purchasing a Eurail pass via Happyrail. Some reservations can be booked directly in the Happyrail planner when buying your Eurail pass, so you can buy your pass plus reservations with one click. 

For TGV and Eurostar, only a limited amount of seats are available for Eurail pass holders. It might therefore be advisable to try and book reservations first or to buy seperate tickets, as seat reservations can be pricy while individual tickets booked in advance are not much more expensive. On the Brussels-Germany route ICE high-speed trains also run and have unlimited availability for Eurail pass holders, and for a smaller reservation fee than Eurostar trains.
