The route I've booked has changed

It may happen that your route has changed due to works, for example. 

With some operators you can get on the next train without any problems. You can find out a new route via the website of the operator. This applies to:
  • Danish regional or IC trains;
  • Deutsche Bahn tickets;
  • NS tickets;
  • ÖBB tickets (night trains excluded);
  • VY tickets;
  • Swiss regional and IC trains (except panorama trains and ECs).
With other carriers, you can't get on the next train without consultation. In this case, you must go to the ticket office at the station to have a reservation made for the next available train. This is the case for:
  • Eurostar;
  • Italo;
  • Night trains;
  • Panorama trains
  • Renfe;
  • TGV;
  • Thalys,
  • Trenitalia.
