I want to cancel my ticket

Check your ticket to see if it's possible to cancel your ticket. The following tickets can never be canceled:

  • Super Sparpreis (Deutsche Bahn);
  • Sparscheine (OBB);
  • Advance fare (British Railways & other companies in Great Britain);
  • Mini fares (Thalys).
If your ticket is not one of the above fares, try cancelling from your HappyRail account first. You do this by logging in and looking up your booking in your account. Each booking has the word 'cancel' which you can use to cancel the ticket.
Do you get a message that your ticket cannot be cancelled? Then this will probably be the case. If you still have doubts about whether your ticket states that it can be cancelled, you can contact us. Please note that we're available from Monday to Friday 16:00 CEST.
Cancellation is possible until 1 business day before departure, 16:00 CEST. If you mail outside our business hours, cancellation is no longer possible. Also after departure it's no longer possible to cancel.
