I want to cancel my ticket

Check your ticket to see if it's possible to cancel your ticket. The following tickets can never be cancelled. These conditions are set by the railway companies on whose trains you travel, and exceptions can thus not be made.

  • Super Sparpreis (Deutsche Bahn)
  • Sparscheine (ÖBB)
  • ADVANCE (Railway companies in Great Britain)
  • All OUIGO tickets (can only be exchanged for another ticket)
  • AVLO: can not be cancelled unless the "Change or Cancellation" add-on has been purchased
  • Italo low-cost: can not be cancelled, only exchanged.
If your ticket is not one of the above fares, try cancelling from your HappyRail account first. You do this by logging in and looking up your booking in your account. Each booking has the word 'cancel' which you can use to cancel the ticket.
Do you get a message that your ticket cannot be cancelled? Then this will probably be the case. If you still have doubts about whether your ticket states that it can be cancelled, you can contact us. Please note that we're available from Monday to Friday 16:00 CEST.
