When can I book my train tickets?

Each train operator decides themselfes when ticket sales will start. Therefore, this may vary. Below, for each train operator is indicated when the sale opens. Please note: the opening of the sale may be delayed for some routes if maintaince work is being carried out. This list is therefore an indication, not a guarantee.

British railways & others (Great Britain): 59 days before departure.
CP (Portugal): 59 days prior to departure.
Deutsche Bahn (Germany): 180 days prior to departure date. Please note that prices are never known for dates after November. These prices are announced around mid-October. From then on, travel for December and beyond can be booked through our website.
Eurostar (Great Britain): 180 days before departure.
Italo (Italy): 59 days before departure.
NS International (Netherlands/Belgium): 120 to 180 days before departure.
ÖBB (Austria): 180 days before departure date.
Renfe (Spain): 59 days before the departure date.
SBB (Switzerland):
  • Swiss Travel Pass: 180 days before the departure date;
  • Jungfrau Travel Pass: any time (voucher);
  • Regional Swiss Pass: 59 days before departure date;
  • Single tickets: 59 days before departure date;
  • Panorama train reservations: 59 to 180 days before departure date.
TGV (France):
