I want to take my bike on the train
Due to the huge impact of the coronavirus, in 2022 we can only make bike reservations for the night train from the Netherlands to Switzerland for dates starting in mid-August. You can select the option to take bikes with you on the booking form.
Austria: Bikes are allowed on almost all trains with a bike ticket, see this page for more information.
Czech Republic: Bikes are allowed on almost all trains with a bike ticket. For information see this page.
Denmark: Bikes are allowed on long-distance trains for a fee and free on S-tog trains around Copenhagen. Reservations required in summer for long-distance trains. See this page for more information.
France (incl. TGV): Bicycles are allowed on almost all trains; regional trains free, IC and TGV trains for a fee. For full information see this page from SNCF.
Germany (Incl. travel through Germany to Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic & Denmark): This page from DB (in German) has all the information about taking bikes on the train and booking tickets. Long distance trains are "Fernverkehr". Currently possible in all regional trains, all IC trains but only some ICE trains.
United Kingdom (Eurostar): Bikes along currently almost not possible, see all conditions and information here.
United Kingdom: Bikes are allowed on all trains for free in principle, with a limited number of spots on some long-distance trains where a reservation is required. Check if this applies to your train journey on the website of your train's operator (Such as GWR, Avanti, London Midland, Virgin West Coast, etc.)
